Mitsio archipelago

3 days and 2 nights at the Mitsio Archipegalo (from mid-March to end of May and beginning of October and beginning of January)

Volcanic Archipelago made of various small islands. Only one is inhabited (La Grande Mitsio). Mitsio 4 frères

One sees there the Four Brothers, monoliths forming a quadrilateral that emerges on the surface of the water. Without forgetting the basalt organs which are rock structures created during the cooling of the lava.

The most varied marine fauna of Madagascar with a wide range of species of all sizes, including the whale shark from October to December.

Throughout the cruise it is always possible to see exceptional marine life manta, sharks, whales, humpback whales, dolphins, depending on the season.

Accommodation : Full Board, all drinks included except alcohol (for sale onboard).

Scuba dives : 7 dives, blocks and weights included.

  • • The Tétons, from 5 to 20 meters, including 2 rocky peaks emerging. Very colorful site and rich in fish. Arches and caves shelter there blue balisters, gaterins, glashfishs.
  • • The 4 Brothers, from 0 to 30 meters. Vertical walls are very colorful and rich in fixed fauna and flora, cleanning shrimps, ribbons moray, ... There are also flaws filled with glasfish and pelagic passages, barracudas, mobula rays, sharks white tips
  • • Bank of the Little Beaver, from 9 to 60 meters, deep seabeds In the form of a dome with a 500 meters diameter. In depth, there are crevasses and cavities among the giant gorgonians. This reef is uncrowded, despite its exceptional seabed and magnificent corals. Along the fall, passage of pelagics, trevally, tuna, ... White sharks, gray reefs and leopard sharks are regularly found there. Sometimes also manta rays.

Characteristics of the boat 

Description of the stay :

First day : 8.00 clock start towards the Mitsio, first dive around 11 o’clock, visit of the islands, fishing and second dive end of the afternoon.

Second day : 3 dives on the Bank of the Little Beaver and on the Bank of Ankaréa, fising , relaxing and visit of the islands.

Third day, 2 dives on the Four Brothers, navigation then back to Nosy Be.

Note: All cruises Diving Cattitude are à la carte, modifiable wishes and dates of stay, taking into account best sites to visit.
